Jesuit Heritage Month Opening Mass & Reception | 7:00 PM | Gaston Hall
Join the Georgetown Jesuit Community for Sunday Mass that begins Jesuit Heritage Month at Georgetown. All are warmly welcome to join this festive celebration that takes the place of all Dahlgren Masses (6:00 pm, 8:00 pm, 10:00 pm)
After Mass, the campus community is invited to Healy Hall, 2nd floor for refreshments and conversation.

Join the Jesuits and Catholic Ministry for a Spiritual Discussion Dinner. Come out to learn more about Jesuit history, the story of St. Ignatius, and the Society of Jesus.

Reflections on Pilgrimage | 8:00 PM | Healy Hall, Room 104
Are you interested in learning about pilgrimage, its impacts, and its lasting effects on informing worldview? Hear from six pilgrims who attended pilgrimages with Georgetown about their pilgrimages and how they impacted them. There will be times for questions after the discussion, and light food and refreshments will be served.

Dahlgren Chapel Sacred Lecture Series: Fr. Brian McDermott, S.J.
“Setting Captives Free: The Spiritual Exercises & America’s Original Sin”

St. Ignatius’ Spiritual Exercises have traditionally been known as ways to help individuals grow in their relationship with Christ and his mission. Fidelity to that purpose has led to recent efforts to adapt the Exercises to enable participants, assisted by God’s grace, to engage prayerfully and specifically with racism and white privilege.
Please Note: Only current GUID holders will be permitted to attend this event in person in Dahlgren Chapel. For all others who wish to hear the lecture, there will be a livestream on the Office of Campus Ministry Facebook page.

Father Drew Christensen Holy Land Lecture Series

This Series brings Christian leaders and scholars from the Holy Land to present firsthand updates, insights, theological reflections, and a much-needed (and often unheard) perspective on today’s Christian situation in the Land of Jesus’ birth and the need for a just peace for all people who dwell in the land.
The Office of Mission & Ministry, and Jesuit Heritage Month, will be co-sponsoring this event.

Setting the World on Fire: Fireside Chat with SCS Alumna Karim Trueblood

A live Instagram fireside chat with Karim Trueblood, an alumna of the Master of Professional Studies in Emergency & Disaster Management (EDM) program, who has thoughtfully incorporated Jesuit values into her life and career since graduating from SCS. Moderated by Jamie Kralovec, Associate Director for Mission Integration, the chat will focus on Karim’s reflections on her Georgetown experiences, including a sacred pilgrimage that she took to Spain this summer with fellow alums as part of the University’s celebration of the Ignatian Year 500.
Ignatian Spirituality & Art: A Conversation with Fr. Bill McNichols

Join us for a conversation with Fr. Bill McNichols on the role of Ignatian spirituality in both the artistic imagination and the spiritual work of writing sacred icons. Fr. Mark Bosco, S.J., Vice President for Mission & Ministry, will facilitate the conversation, and Fr. McNichols will share some of his past work in art and iconography.
