Concert Premiere: A Requiem for Flannery | 7:30 p.m. | Holy Trinity Catholic Church

In celebration of the centennial of Flannery O’Connor’s birth, join us for the premiere of the commissioned work Requiem for Flannery O’Connor by Italian composer Stefano Ratchev. The requiem will be performed by the Georgetown University Orchestra and Chamber Singers, under the direction of Professors Angel Gil-Ordóñez and Frederick Binkholder, with members of the Holy Trinity music ministry and guest soprano soloist, Grace Gilday.
This event is cosponsored by Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

The Fall 2025 Dahlgren Chapel Sacred Lecture will be delivered by Fr. Bart Geger, S.J., Associate Professor of the Practice at the School of Theology and Ministry at Boston College. His lecture is titled “On Magnanimity and the Magis: What St. Ignatius Loyola Really Said about Finding God’s Will.” Please join us for this in-person event.

Book Talk with Alejandro Olayo-Méndez, S.J. | 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Mortara Center

Alejandro Olayo-Méndez is an assistant professor at the Boston College School of Social Work. His research focuses on migrants’ and refugees’ livelihoods and the role of humanitarian organizations in contexts of migration and forced displacement. He has conducted extensive ethnographic research along migration routes in Mexico. His book Humanitarianism from Below by NYU Press explores how casas de migrantes or migrant shelters shape the migratory processes in the region.
