Join us for the 2024 Jesuit Heritage Month Opening Mass. Come celebrate our Ignatian heritage, and join our community in offering prayer and gratitude for the contributions of the Society of Jesus—the Jesuits—to our Georgetown community. All are welcome.

The Fall 2024 Dahlgren Chapel Sacred Lecture will be delivered by Fr. Leo O’Donovan, S.J., former president of Georgetown University. His lecture is titled Coming Home. Please join us for this in-person event.

Panel: Women in Mission | 11 a.m. | Location TBD (Potentially Ecumenical Chapel)

From its founding by St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Society of Jesus has relied on women to assist in their ministry. In the last few decades, this relationship has deepened into a partnership that has enlivened Jesuit works like Georgetown. Much has been accomplished though more needs to be done. Join our panelists, for food and conversation as they share insights drawn from experience as leaders in Jesuit education and religious organizations. All are welcome!

Fall 2024 Dahlgren Dialogue: Blessed are the Peacemakers: Ukraine, the Middle East, Sudan, and a Broken World | 6 p.m. | Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart & Online

The Fall 2024 Dahlgren Dialogue—a collaboration between the Office of Mission & Ministry and the Initiative on Catholic Social Thought & Public Life—will focus on the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine, the Middle East and Sudan in order to explore how we can respond to these crises and their immense human and moral cost. This event will be both in person and livestreamed by the Initiative on Catholic Social Thought & Public Life.
